We project the busiest night in FedEx history will be Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, with a total of almost 9.8 million packages moving through the FedEx Express and FedEx Ground networks. Last year, FedEx delivered more than 8.9 million packages on our busiest day of the year, Dec. 19, 2005.

The average volume throughout the year is more than 6 million packages daily.
